Nothing: Tired of Tomorrow
Nothing’s latest album opens with the band hammering out a mammoth pulse that grabs hold and after some time drops you into Fever Queen. It’s a refreshing intro to a solid effort from the band, in which both the songwriting and production quality take a step up from the prior release. I liked Guilty of Everything, though it is rough in comparison. Categorization over-simplified: they deliver a sort of heavy shoegaze sound with walls of guitar, driving rhythms and vocals that are at times almost ethereal.
